Line-up Notes

TOR
?The Leafs line-up likely won't be confirmed until closer to puck drop, but I think that's a fair guess for how it will start at least
?It doesn't seem as though Bozak's injury will keep him out of Game 1, but again that's something that will be confirmed closer to the game

BOS
?Boston's line-up in the past few games has seen a few bodies rotated in and out, so it's difficult to say for sure what it will look like. Much like Toronto's, I think this is a good guess
?Horton and Jagr both missed Boston's final regular season game with injuries, but neither seem significant enough to keep them out of Game 1

I was hoping to add a season recap section to the game-day-thread, but just figured I'd throw this out so we can start talking. Hopefully some nice journalist will have that work done for me tomorrow.

Zero expectation to pull this off. I just don't see how anyone can pick the Leafs here but with that said, there's arguably much less pressure on us to get past round one than the there is on the Bruins. Whatever happens, I'm tremendously proud of our guys. Go Leafs go!

I was let down when I heard the Leafs would end up facing the Bruins until I remembered they have both Chara and Redden on their team. Maybe we can convince the team we're facing the early 2000s Ottawa Senators?

I posted this in the standings thread:

Like Busta said, it will be a trial by fire.  And no one will be in a hotter seat than Mr. Phil Kessel.  If he could just get one early in the 1st game, the whole complexion of the series could be changed.  That said, I don't think there's much chance we win it.  But neither do I think we go out in 4 or 5.  I'm thinking B's in 6.

CTB, do you really think Carlyle will play both MacLaren and Orr?  I can see Orr, but not both.  I really hope not.

Interesting to see if both McClaren and Orr play.  I would guess that to be the case facing the Bruins for game one at least, not that I agree with that logic.

The Bruins could just be those Sens, dominate us during the reg season and tank against us in the playoffs.  We just haven't had the opportunity to test that, well until now.

I think Carlyle will want to set a physical message in game one so I wouldn't be surprised if they both play. After game one though who knows.

*- The date and time for game 1 has not been confirmed yet, but it's rumoured that they'll play Wednesday and Saturday to start the series.

And while it hasn't been confirmed that CBC will broadcast this series, it's all but certain they will.

Greg Brady posted that this is the schedule:

@bradyfan590

So, G1-Wed, G2-Sat4, G3-Mon6, G4-Wed8, G5-Fri10, G6-Sun12, G7-Mon13

Boston... Ugh...

Well I am pulling for Phil in this series. Winning the series would be insanely amazing but not likely. It would be great to see Phil contribute to a couple of wins.

A Friday night game? Interesting. That Sunday game will likely be an afternoon match-up for NBC as well.

I hate the schedule.  Don't want an afternoon game either, if it is.  But what can you do.

Don't forget we have beat Jagr as well!

Where is Gary Roberts and "No Panic" Yanic?

Me too.  And I wonder if they hand it off from CBC to NBC or whatever.

All the folks who complain about Hughson etc. will learn how much better CBC is than any American network.
  Just saw previous post.  Good.
