Maybe, though Johnsson being done for the season covers a fair amount of what would be lost there.
 
They can stick him in the marlies for a conditioning stint for 10 games before his cap is of consequence, right?  So, late March + 10 marlies games?  Maybe do-able.

I think there's a cap on how many games you can use for a conditioning stint - I just can't remember if it's 2 or 3.

He'd have to agree to it. Also we may be fighting for a playoff spot and the team is better with him. He's playing when hes ready unless the Leafs are comfortably in.

The cap is 14 days, but, as CtB says, unless it's really at the very end of the season (like, the last week or so), there's a good chance the league would call shenanigans.
