There is a software update already. First thing you do when you turn on your new PS4 will be to download it. Maybe it's that.

No. They're announced what that update includes (I don't remember offhand what it is because I don't own a PS4), but media streaming was not included.

Yeah here's the list. Some cool stuff though.

Picked up Ghosts at lunch for the PC..... Let's go 4:30.... LOL.

Verdict?

I've only played it for maybe 2 hours. 30 minutes in single player just to see how it feels, then about 1.5 hours in online Multiplayer. I like it, it's a bit of a resource hog so you'll need a good rig to run it with a 64 bit OS (7 or 8 - I'm running vista, so the game is a little choppy, even though I have a 680GTX video card and i5 2500k cpu). The maps are a lot larger than previous COD games, and I really liked a few of the maps I played, I felt lost. LOL.

I think I ended last night around level 5 or 6, 1.33kdr (112/84), it'll take more time before I can really see what the weapons/perks etc... are like.

So far, I recommend if you are a COD / FPS Online type person.

I'll be playing it on Xbox360, so there should be no issues with performance.  I ought to be picking it up soon, while I wait for TitanFall to drop (March).

COD: Ghosts

My big complaint so far:
-many maps are just too large - I spend most of my time running around trying to find where the action is...

Yeah, it's completely different than other COD's, if you just run around you'll just end up getting shot, the maps are very large so you are tempted to run to find people and for me, that's usually a bad idea as I keep gettting killed while running cause I don't see anyone, lol.

The game is fun, but it was a little frustrating last night as it's not running really smooth for me, it lags during gunfights, I think because of my vista OS, which sucks. I turned down the graphics, but then the game looks awful and it's hard to see people... Catch 22. I may need an OS upgrade.... Fun.

Exactly my experience in the larger maps.  I fared much better in the smaller maps.

Anybody play it on the PS3? I'm a little underwhelmed at the graphics. Black Op 2 might look better than this one. I wonder if they cheaped out a little here to try and persuade people to get the PS4.

I've been playing NHL14 and really digging the old school controls - the last installment I played was 08 - I had given up on the controls.

Anyway, I've been kind of digging the music that they chose for the game, and 1 in particular In the end by black veil brides.

So I mosey on over to youtube to check out the video - and good lord does the look not match the sound. Made me feel like a crusty old man watching that...

I guess in retrospect how different do they look than Motley Crue did back in the day...

Console graphics and PC graphics are 2 different animals. I have BO2 for ps3 and PC - my PC kills the graphics of the ps3, BO2 looks way better on the PC.

I'm guessing they had to tone down Ghosts a bit for the ps3 to run it smoothly.

I gotta say, COD: Ghosts is kind of boring...  I'm not a fan of it, at all...

Come on TitanFall!

Talking story mode or online? I hate the new unlocking feature in online play. My biggest motivation to play in the past was leveling up and unlocking new guns and perks. Now being able to use those points things to unlock anything you want takes all the challenge out of it.

Can anyone explain to me like I'm 5 the other online features of NHL14 other than strictly one-on-one versus play?  Like these leagues and stuff.  I've clicked into them a few times but have no idea what is going on.

I wish games still came with actual manuals and not the weak one you press a button to read.

Multiplayer - haven't tried campaign yet.

Yeah, but you need to earn the points to unlock the items... It's not like your given 100 points off the bat for free and can unlock every gun, attachment, perk etc... It takes time.

So far, I'm enjoying it. I played BO2 since it came out (I also played COD4, BO, MW3 etc....) and Ghosts has a different feel to it. The maps are larger with more buildings to go into etc... I can't play this game like I played BO2. A lot more tactical than just run and gun, imo.

Yeah but I pretty much have what I want by level 10. The points are pretty easy to get.

I wish 2K still had the NHL license. EA's games get worse every year. They aren't even trying anymore. There needs to be some competition.

COD Ghosts sucks.

The network code is crap...  I've seen people get killed without even getting shot...

Their physics is crap... Just like last iteration, if you see the top inch of someone's head behind an object, be careful because apparently they can see you 100% and can shoot you completely unobstructed by the object in front of them...  And the dogs can jump onto a van?  Like 6 feet high?  Really?  ...REALLY???

Their damage system is arbitrary... I mean, you can shoot someone several times, but they'll still kill you with a single knife cut...  And the dogs... apparently they can take about 6-10 rounds, but a single bite and you're dead?

What a waste of money.
