I inadvertently got into a Facebook argument with a bunch of Americans over the fact that I don't have to pay for an ambulance should I need to call one LOL. Good lord, what have I done?

You would in Saskatchewan.

I've recently been seeing several ads saying "Are you interested in living and working in Canada?" and inviting me along to an information day in Birmingham or Dublin.

There must be a catch?

With a record low of -37 degrees and average Januay temperature of -8 I can't see why they'd be having to convince people to move there

Where in Canada? It's a big place  ;)

Isn't it fairly obvious from the ad? I would live in NB, cheap housing.

Haha I kept looking thinking I was missing something???

It's good to see that "If we don't get what we want from elections, we're going to turn to separatism" is becoming the watch word of every angry baby in Canada.

The Conservative reaction if/when Trudeau stays as PM even though the CPC think they "won" the election with like 31% of the vote is going to be amazing to witness. Or terrifying. We'll see.

So, in an article about Donald Brashear working in Tim Horton's, the National Post posted an image from a hockey game............that included Georges Laraque, not Brashear.

just embarrassing.

Let's be real, trying to shame a guy for working an honest job is pretty grotesque even before the racism.

Agreed.  I do not like this.

So I went to a speed dating event, which probably isn't the smartest idea, since i'm quite introvert. Anywho, it was really loud and it was difficult to hear what people were saying.

After a while I dated a girl from England, who recently moved to Stockholm, so we spoke english and things went well, and we realized that both of us were working with music, and she goes, so can you name one of your favourite bands?

Me: "I like Oasis".
She: "Sorry couldn't hear you, please say it again."
Me: "I like Oasis."
She: "Still so much noise, please say it again."
Me: "Oasis, I like Oasis."

Then she looks at me in quite a mean way, and im thinking "what did I say?"

Then she looks at me again and says:
"Sorry, are you telling me you like racists?"

Then I start laughing, and write it down instead, and then she starts laughing like crazy too, and everyone's looking at us.  :)

Well, it looks like private equity ghouls have just about killed off Deadspin.

Blech. Capitalism is the worst.

They were pushing out some solid content today but I guess that led to this:

Oh I'm sure once they've cleared out everyone there'll be some sort of Zombie version of the site with the name Deadspin where every post is some sort of "Look at this sick catch in the end zone! Tubular!" or whatever. But Deadspin as it's existed for 15 years or so is almost certainly gone.

lol I like this.

It's good to get out of your comfort zone. If you stay within your comfort zone your whole life you never challenge yourself and quite often you miss out on positive change. Good for you :)
