I hate to break it to everyone but any hope of McDavid leaving Edmonton went up in smoke when LA couldn't beat them. Thanks Hiller.

I dunno - getting soundly beaten by Florida this year could leave him with doubts/feeling they've taken a step back. Could be enough to dissuade him from signing an extension this summer.

Also, my heart wants to believe he's already made the decision he wants to play for the Leafs. My brain knows it's not true, but my heart isn't willing to let that go.

Home team sentimentality aside, if Edmonton is felt to be a step bellow winning a Cup, what the hell does that make the Leafs. I just don't see a scenario where McDavid would look at the Leafs and choose them outside the end of his career.

He's not coming here.

I know we need to change the mix, but watching Florida do this to every other team is making me a little more content with how the series unfolded. Obviously 5&7 are unacceptable, but damn they are good.

Refs call everything in the first period and then call nothing the rest of the game? Why is that? Also, puck over the glass in OT is a ridiculous end to a Stanley Cup Final game, considering how subjective refs are for everything else. Head shots good, puck over the glass, game over. I'm getting a little PO about how you can never predict how the rules are going to be called from one period to the next.
