Only sink until after tomorrow's game. Someone posted what would have to happen for the Leafs to get to 5th and it looks like getting there is probably not going to happen. Leafs need to finish as high as possible to lower Boston's pick.

I agree with both statements, just want a 3 game losing streak this week, this way there is no way they buy at the deadline and can actually sell.

Markstrom(3.06GAA, .888SV%), Bratt, Hischier, Meier, Hamilton all having down years and some not just a little down. Hughes missing 20 games and is only 3 pts behind 1st on the team.
When all of your top guns are having bad years, it's a recipe for disaster. Markstrom has been very good lately tho.... 948SV% over last 5 games.

The two teams swapped head coaches during the second intermission of the game, which was later declared a 0-0 tie after the contest went to a shootout and neither team could manage to score a goal after an hour and a half of trying.

Running those stats was sobering. At the same time I think there is at least a bit of an argument that we are giving up a potentially good pick regardless and we should probably focus on just making the Leafs better. They still have the chance to win the draft lottery. I just hope the team picks a lane. If they want to completely bottom out and try and gain 10 points the rest of the way...then do it. Shut down anyone who is going to have surgery in July. Play Robertson (if not traded) on the top line. Play Cowan 15+ minutes a night regardless of how many times he falls down. Call up Villeneuve and Rifai to play in games down the stretch.

Just don't do the in between game of trying to win games by taking timeouts in OT to keep Matthews on the ice for 4 minutes straight.
