Listened to the highlights of the last radio call by Bowen. The end was pretty emotional. So good that he closed by thanking Jim Ralph. I hope Ralphie comes back and they find him a good play-by-play guy.

No but it wasn't easy to listen to.
After big Leafs moments, I have sought to find Bowen's call - like it is incomplete unless you hear it

When I first properly started following the Leafs which was in the early 2000, we didn’t regularly have TV coverage of NHL. If we did it was even more rarely a Leaf game.

We obviously didn’t have fast internet like we have now and we didn’t have streaming of video.

One night, however, I did stumble upon a way to track games which was listening to the audio of (I think back then it was AM640?) via dial up internet. Sometimes it dropped out. But I got most of the gist of what was going on.

I often fell asleep listening to those 2 guys. They’re very much majorly responsible for me generally still being a “night owl”. And 100% responsible for me ending up properly hooked on the Leafs.
