Chris Neil on Michael Del Zotto: "I'm sure I'll catch him with his head down one of these times."

And I'm sure Shanahan bookmarked this tweet.
Sounds like Neil can dish out dirty hits, but can't take a clean one. ::)

Are we whining about Neil's clean hit on Boyle still?
When did Neil throw a clean hit on Boyle?

It was that one last game.  You know, the one that wasn't late or an elbow, where he didn't leave his feet and hit him from the front?

That one.  The one that a couple years ago would have been on the highlights, but now just incites mass whining.

Maybe you meant someone else and not me, but I don't think I was whining.  I don't care enough to whine, I'm just saying.

Reminds me of the hit that bell put on Alfredsson a couple seasons ago that sens fans whined to no end about.

Maybe not you SP in particular.

What is Neil talking about? Catch him with his head down?

Neil is going to trash talk him either from the face-off circle or the bench, and then Carkner is going to jump him when he's not looking, just how the sens army does it.

Not you in particular.  Hockey fans and media in general pissing on a good hockey hit.  If Neil on Boyle is dirty, might as well just ban contact.

They were wrong there too.

Ah well, hopefully they play more disciplined and have a little more luck with the refereeing in game 7.

Here we go again with the Rangers whining about the refereeing.

Comedy!

Not complaining, them's the breaks.  Sometimes you get the calls, sometimes you don't.  Still gotta win 4 of 7 games to advance regardless of what the referees are doing.  The only thing that matters is the scoreboard, not how it got there.  The Sens need to shake it off and move on.  No sense crying about a game that finished over an hour ago.

Saying the refereeing sucked isn't complaining, it's stating a fact.  Even Ranger fans think the refs were awful (albeit for different reasons).

But Lundqvist saying "Someone wanted [Ottawa] back in the game..."?  Tortorella calling for a 25 game suspension on a clean hit?  The Rangers releasing a statement complaining about the Hagelin suspension?

Little less cranky now.  Not much, but a little.

If we're ever going to break the game 7 curse, now's the time.  The Sens have been playing above their heads, coming from behind and beating the odds all year.  The Rangers are very beatable, the Sens have done it six times already this season, they just need to do it one more time.

Oh yeah, just worlds of difference.

It didn't change the outcome of the game, but how can the league allow a goal like that to stand?  Totally ridiculous.

the *Rangers* are whining about the refereeing?! The *RANGERS* are?

LOL! Paper's full of players whining about the refereeing this morning: Neil, Foligno, Alfredsson. Didn't see any RANGERS names there.

I just saw the highlights this morning and yeah, considering it went to video review and they still thought it was a goal, it is one of the worst calls I have ever seen.

The sens have provided more than their share of amusement this year.  But now it's time for them to go away.

As soon as it went to video review, it was a good goal.  The video was inconclusive at best about the kick.  None of the CBC angles showed his skate making contact with it.  It's the goalie interference they've got a valid point about, but that's non-reviewable, and the ref had already called it a goal.
