I know there are bad apples everywhere, but man do I hate Winnipeg Jets fans. Nice ending to the story because of Tavares though.

It takes a special kind of despicable human to get in the face of an 11 year old for wearing the other team's jersey.

And I thought Flyers fans were adept at this sort of thing.

A few years back, my relatives along with their 12 yr. old son took in a Leafs-Flyers game in Philly, while there on business  The boy was wearing his Leafs jersey, and, albeit nothing major happened, still, he/they had to endure some heckling from some very rude people.  One even gave them the 'finger'.

The whole experience certainly didn't make for a memorable one.  Asked if they'd take in a game again should they have returned there, the answer was an emphatic "No!".

to be fair ..i think that's how most people respond when asked if they'd like to go back to philly..regardless of hockey game

I'm extremely glad to admit I was completely wrong in wanting either of Weiss or Lecavalier over Bozak last summer.

so will the postponed game start from the beginning?  or from where they were at.  it was 1-0 for columbus wasn't it?

When this happened to Jiri Fischer all those years ago the Preds had a 1-0 lead in the 1st period. The rescheduled game was a full 60-minutes but Nashville started the game with the lead they had. So I'd imagine the same thing will happen here.
Game has been rescheduled to April 9th and will be a full 60 minutes.

From the NHL statement:
"The rescheduled contest will begin with the Blue Jackets ahead, 1-0 -- the score at the time play was stopped Monday. A goal will be credited to Nathan Horton, with assists to Matt Calvert and James Wisniewski. All other statistics will be expunged."

With the Buffalo Sabres already eliminated from playoff contention, here are the remaining (wild card) teams from both conferences vying to make the post season, including their remaining chances (%), etc.

I really like the Sharks organization.

Islanders fans chanting "We want Moulson", after 6-0 drubbing at the hands of the Columbus Ble Jackets Tuesday night, whom Moulson plays for since traded at the deadline...

....and thank you (*sic*) Garth Snow...signed Isles fans...

Clarkson for Tageson, make it happen, Nonis.

If anyone wants to do a bit of reading on 'advanced' stats, DownGoesBrown has an article regarding on-ice SH% that's very well done/easy to grasp: http://grantland.com/the-triangle/your-guide-to-nhl-on-ice-percentages/

As per Dreger last night on TSN: E.Staal, Skinner, Ward on the trading block this off season.

That's the core of Carolina. Yikes.
