Not cool.

Is it really any worse than watching tv episodes or movies on various websites or sharing music with others if you haven't paid etc.?

I mean if one buys tickets (or any asset for that matter) that are very in demand and all the players, employees at the stadium, those on the tv broadcast etc. are already getting paid then I fail to see who's losing out? God knows I've paid over asking to see Leaf games in the past from scalpers.....
It's a free market. If I'm charging a price for something that someone else is willing to pay, it's his/her prerogative. I bought the tickets a few days after they announced Sundin night in the Fall and sold them the Friday before the game. Despite what was printed on the front the market value of those tickets had gone way up at that point.

I don't see the connection with streaming movies online.  Is that making real fans pay through the nose to see something?  The same thing happens with in demand concert tickets.  I'm sure it's the same in North America, but I know in Europe tickets to shows are bought by scalpers solely to resell for a big profit and it's a big problem for certain artists.

I don't think it's cool to perpetuate that problem for other Leafs fans who may never get to go to games and who will have to pay ridiculous prices, on top of already high prices, because someone bought tickets they never intended to use in the first place.

Yeah, I mean, buying tickets legitimately and then re-selling them when you can't go is one thing but buying them for the express purpose of re-selling them at a profit makes you a ticket scalper. If you can't go, let some other fan have the opportunity to buy the tickets at face.

I agree with Nik and Potvin.

If you buy them with every intent of going but in the end, can't make it..fine sell them.

But when you buy them just to sell them you're scalping tickets.

Didn't buy them in the end, would've been close to a grand, and wasn't sure I'd get the time off work.

Also wasn't sure I'd get my money back out. I'm sure someone else will buy them and sell them at a nice profit.

HBO has started shooting....

You know, it didn't hit me until now but I think Grabo's loss will be most keenly felt by his not appearing on this show. Something tells me that our former resident Habs puncher would have been the breakout star this year.

I could see that. Burkie would have also played a prominent role I'm sure. With a lot of low key personalities among this group, I wonder who's gonna draw the most attention on this show. Clarkson seems to be a bit of a character. Lupul and Kadri dont shy away from cameras either.

For those who are going, what does your itinerary look like? We are going to stay downtown Detroit, Dec 31 - Jan 2. What's going on New Years night? Are you taking the shuttle bus to the game? Are you going to specific tailgate party? Anything happening after the game?

We don't really know exactly what will be doing besides the game.

Let's hope the Leafs have gotten over this terrible play of late by JAN. 1st.

I know, the game seems to be losing meaning with their current dreadful play.

I can barely stand watching right now. Getting completely dominated every game is exhausting.

My info was good, HBO hasn't started filming the Leafs dressing room stuff yet.  They asked Kessel about it today and he said he'll just act like he normally does and see how it goes.

I think they've done some preliminary stuff already, but the full coverage starts this Wednesday.

Preliminary, shmaliminary, if they haven't talked to Kessel yet they have yet to begin!
