Now apparently Tampa has flipped Streit to Pittsburgh?

I wonder if Philly and Pittsburgh just can't fathom trading directly with each other.  Or if Streit's trade-clause changes after being traded.

Filppula and a pick apparently.  PHI must have been on his list of teams he could be traded too because if he had to waive and chose PHI over TOR... LOL.  Must really hate Babcock or be really worried he'd get MichaLaich'd

This makes literally 0 sense for Philly, but in a way that makes the most sense.

Streit is a UFA at the end of the year, plus...the Flyers were very short on forwards that are talented enough to play in the top 6.  Filpula playing 2C is only a 1 year contract & a bridge to German Rubstov who should be ready to play 2C in two years. 

With this move the Flyers filled a need & became better, got value for an expiring asset & didn't have to move any of their valuable D prospects.
