Florida has a lot of mileage on their key players from the past three finals trips (and alcohol poisoning). I think we can take them.

Marchand here would have gone down as either the best or worst contract the Leafs maybe ever signed. Given how things have gone recently I would have taken that risk. Just don't know what Plan B is now.

After Ehlers and Boeser, there’s not much left. Either going to make some trades or Leafs are gonna have some good cap space for the deadline.

Are you suggesting that Marchand and the Panthers don't really think Marchand will play until he's 43 years old?

It's a 35+ contract so if Marchand retires early the Panthers will be stuck with the cap hit. Either they don't care or it will be LTIR.
