Avalanche @ Leafs - Oct. 14th, 7:30PM - TSN4, Fan 590

Because we'd have to give up a good haul for Staal. It's why this team
Is this team..

Also......RC hasn't changed. 4th line is just a useless appendage to him.

I thought the Leafs deserved a better fate in the second, they used their speed and were the kind of physical they need to be more often. Iginla Phaneuf? Why refs, why?

What makes Staal that much more valuable that Spezza?

The only thing I can think of is their respective reputations, but, really, that shouldn't have that level of impact on it. It's more than likely another case of media types drastically misreading trade value.

On the first Polak had the side of the net and, granted, didn't stop the pass.  Percy was on his man on the other side IIRC.  But neither JVR or Kessel took O'Reilly coming in.

Wasn't O'Reilly the guy behind the net who made the original pass? Then the puck kind of bounced to him. A bit of a fluke, but once he made that original pass Percy completely forgot about him and started watching the puck.

No idea how that wasn't a penalty on Robidas too. He wasn't even close to coming in contact with the puck. Just a big whack at Duchene's legs.

Robidas continues to struggle

I hope he's still getting up to speed after his injuries, because, if this is him at 100%, it's going to be an ugly tenure for him in blue and white.

Avs announcer just said Kessel has not missed a game for the Leafs since coming from Boston...only true if you don't count the first 12 he missed with shoulder injury I think it was

He missed the first 12, but 367 straight since.

The way most people say it is that Kessel hasn't missed a game since making his Leafs debut.

Need to see that hit again but it looked penalty worthy to me on first glance.

Big tying goal on the very next shift.

Yeah that's probably what the note says and the guy just interpreted it wrong

LUPUL oh man so nice to see him hot again
