Bernier's injury

I've often wondered if they are purposely not playing Reimer knowing full well he has a glass head.  Reducing his exposure to risk so they can call on him when needed, but not rely on him.

I think it's simply after the game 7 debacle last year Leafs brass decided Reimer isn't the guy who could win the big game. They were going to go with someone else.

Really!. I dont think that anyone here would put any once of blame on Reimer for the mess of game 7. If it werent for Reimer in game 5 and 6 they would not be there to begin with.

This is the same team that plays Orr and McLaren long past their use.  The same team that can't get the puck out of their own zone and does the same thing night after night.  Coaches and GMs are just as prone to bias as the rest of us.  I don't think Reimer was the reason we lost Game 7 but he wasn't able to make those late-game saves either.  That should go on the team that sat back and allowed the Bruins to overwhelm them, but Carlyle blames rebounds on the 1st period of the Washington game too.

Carlyle?s tepid response drew immediate reaction on Twitter, including from Ray Petkau, Reimer?s agent and best friend. He tweeted out a quick rebuttal ? ?As is customary in Toronto, when your team plays poor defensively game after game you blame your goalie? ? before later trying to backtrack from that sentiment.

It's pretty obvious to all who Carlyle's favourite is. Looks like Bernier is going to be missed in this time frame.  Poor Reimer.
