With some slightly different bounces, we could've been talking about another Matthews hat trick, with Hyman being instrumental on two of them.
Though it is a standard play, Hyman was also very effective taking pucks off the boards to break cycles and chip out to the carriers on his line. He never tries to truck it in himself unless it's open ice and he never just pulls up at the side wall beyond the circles to sling a low percentage shot into the glass wide for a self-inflicted breakout going the other way (I'm looking at you, JvR). He pretty much always brings it deep for Matthews or Nylander to flush the puck out front for chances and chaos.
I'd love better finish on Matthews' LW, with an actual left shot to boot, but for now, there are other actual problems to address (1D).
