Blackhawks @ Leafs - Nov. 1st, 7:00pm - CBC, Fan 590

Three big faceoffs, three losses. Randy keeping Bozak out there to take faceoffs on his weak side just isn't smart. Once he loses he is utterly useless defensively.

That's what I was thinking. It didn't nearly have to be so dramatic if bozak could win a faceoff when it mattered.

He also didn't get it deep when he did skate it out of the zone there with about 40 to go.  Not his best game, although he was good early on in the circle.

You can't take anything for granted but with Phoenix, Colorado, Ottawa and the Rangers, this would be a big opportunity to put together a win streak.

Superb game by Reimer, particularly in the third period, with the Leafs outshot 26-7.  Reims definitely kept his team in the game!

"He was first star, simple as that,? coach Randy Carlyle said of Reimer. ?They had some point-blank chances and he stood tall to the task."

"His composure?s the biggest thing of why he?s able to handle that workload and the pressure that?s put on him,? Leafs captain Dion Phaneuf said. ?He was a difference-maker for us tonight, and I can?t say enough good things about the way that he played. Right from the drop of the puck he kept us in the game. We did a lot of good things, too, but when we needed him he was there."

Chicago coach Joel Quenneville thought the third period was one of his team?s best of the season so far. He agreed with Phaneuf that Reimer was the difference.

?Had the chances, opportunities, missed a lot of tip shots, as well,? Quenneville said. ?You play like that you?ll find a way to score goals.?.

so, I want to start with saying that reimer was unbelievable last night.

but I do want to say that how many less shots (and great chances I might add) would not even happen if the guy could catch the puck and/or not let out rebounds that he should have?

Ya I noticed Horacheck the last few games going over stuff with the players, they seemed to be listening to him intently.  I think we found a very good coach there.
I like Carrick as the newcomer, made a few nice plays in limited time.  How long will they carry Frattin?
