Well, Eugene Melnyk was right.  Our defense is laughable.
Why can't Rielly or Ceci hit anyone, Rielly has thighs like a tree trunk. Ceci his a large guy. Never hit anyone, anytime, knock someone down for Gods sake.
Just get their way to slow them up.

Ceci is a 3rd pairing guy.  He's given way too many minutes.

Muzzin seems to playing hurt tonight so they are thin back there.

I know I'm harping a lot on Rielly but that last sequence he needs to stay on his side. He crossed over and it allowed the Bruin a direct line to the net.

He's come a long way since he came into the league and was playing for the most part a complete game.
Problem is he's not a #1 defenceman I've always said that.
He's not tough enough to play against top lines.
Forced into that role at times and it's not helping.
He's a great skater, good offensively but defensively he was never great.
Had a great year last year but this year has regressed. I guess losing Hainsey hurt us more than we thought it would.

Mtl with a win and Ottawa probably doing the same.
Things are looking great.
Wow Ottawa 5 points behind possibly with 2 games in hand.

This team.  That was abysmal with the net out.

Some positive signs but they folded in the 3rd period after that 3rd goal

Got nothing to do with Hainsey. This is all about what goes on in between his ears. He's constantly running around taking himself out of position. Stay on your own side and at the house.

Another loss.  At this point it would benefit the leafs to continue to lose.  If Babcock continues as coach they have zero chance of being a winning team.  The coaching staff is incapable of getting the players into the best position to succeed.

I couldn?t watch the game tonight, but I gather from the comments the Leafs were (not complete) duds and the Boston bear woke up just in time.  Right?
(Say it ain?t so).

The depth is affected by some injuries but we are back to the days of a 4th line that won?t score 10 goals combined over the course of a season and the 3rd line can?t score either.

Oh I'm not saying he's not at fault but he was paired with Hainsey last year and it was his best year and not just offensively. It's because Ron was back there taking care of our end. That I'm sure had something to do with his year.
