JASON SPEZZA TIME

From that Carter hit maybe?

EDIT:  Yeah, it happened in the LA game according to LeafsPR, so I'm assuming it's the Carter hit.
And it explains why he has played like s--t since that game.  I knew he was off, not playing like he can.

A dental fracture doesn't necessarily mean teeth, it could be the bone over the teeth, the mandible is fractured, which is quite a serious thing and will take time to heal. Otherwise the entire top row of teeth could be compromised.  Or it could be the bottom teeth conversely.  More likely the top ones though.

How do you feel about Shore, I don't get all warm and fuzzy when he is out there. I would rather see Engvall given a chance. Friedman was commenting on him on this 31 thoughts the other day.

I think it's a waste of a space. Engvall could be here instead. The only thing Shore is really here for is winning DZ faceoffs. Matthews has a better winning percentage so he could be used instead. Goat is also better. Yeah I know he's a righty but I think Spezza could handle that if Babs actually gave him a shot. I guess we'll find out soon enough as Spezza will be playing, at least 1 game.

I was thinking that Garret Wilson would fit nicely on the 4th line. Neither Shore nor Gauthier really bring anything other than faceoff ability to that line and yet, inexplicably, still tend to be in the lineup together.

Honestly I've barely noticed Shore on the ice during games.  He hasn't really done anything that made me look twice.

Same. He hasn't been particularly influential one way or another, and, quite frankly, I'm not sure any of the guys people are suggesting to replace him would have any more impact on the game than he has. With everyone healthy, I'd prefer to see Spezza in that spot, but, the difference between Shore and any of the other depth pieces available in a 4th line role is negligible.

I tend to agree.  I have noticed Spezza, but maybe that's just because he's Spezza and I expect him to do something from time to time.  He's at least shown some offensive flashes during games - ok he's only got a measly 4 points in 10 games, but it's a tad better than 2 points in 17 for Shore.

The Marlies are off this weekend as well, so it's a good time to see what some of the kids can do.

They should build a school for kids like you.

A school for kids who want to learn to read good and do other stuff too?

Last school I saw was sooo small it looked like a school for ants. It had to be at least three times that size.
