Canadiens @ Leafs - Jan. 23rd, 7:00pm - CBC, Fan 590

Leivo entering the zone backwards and gets hit.  Not that I really care but how is that not a hit from behind by definition?

I know why they called that Phaneuf penalty, but it looked like the hit wasn't as bad as made out because Galchenyuk was still able to direct his body in first before his head, to soften the blow somewhat.

Instead of trying to score on this PP, maybe they should try to hit Condon in the mask, cause I hear that's all the rage now.

Why is Rielly not playing on the PP again?

The fact that he wasn't before is probably the biggest sign that Babcock isn't exactly coaching to win as many games as possible right now.

I get it, Babcock is trying to round him out to being a complete guy. And really, was there any doubt as to that part of his game?

Truth be told, visually at least, I don't see any indication Reilly' a PP quarterback in the making. He doesn't have much of a point shot, and his talent comes more from speed and joining the rush.

Gardiner looks far more poised, imo.

The worst thing about Kadri facing top pairing defenceman now this season is that we're not going to get to see him completely p0wn Alexei Emelin anymore. That's really upsetting.

I dread quoting this....Steve Simmons said in his article tonight that Gardiner misses on 62% of his point shots, well behind even Phaneuf.

Note:  this is a close percentage to average number of BS rumours Simmons starts when he opens his mouth, or keypad....
