Canucks @ Leafs - Feb. 29th, 7:00pm - CBC, TSN 1050

This is the one day every 4 years that Martin Marincin emerges from the Marianas Trench and trades candy and game winning goals for children's tears.

He is the model for The Kraken, after all.

You know, I think everyone can agree that both between the team's defensive personnel and the abilities of their forwards that this team has some question marks in terms of getting from where they are to where we'd ultimately like them to be in terms of a defensive club.

But with that said, even with all of the injuries and shoddy play at times, I really wonder how different the perspective of this group would be if the Leafs had gotten even league average goaltending this year. If Andersen was having a slightly more typical season and they'd had good backup goaltending from the start of the year, I really wonder if there'd be even a fraction of the negativity we've seen.

Looks like Engvall has been demoted a bit, he hasn't been playing as well of late. I wonder if he is a bit banged up.  Leafs 4-2.  or 6 goals will be scored.
As mentioned I am in Vegas and waiting on investors ;D

So here we are with a depleted D core and the last few games we seem to be limiting the opposition shots.
Anyone figure what we are doing differently? Played pretty sound in Florida and again tonight so far. I thought we would be in big trouble with 3 regulars out.
Much better support from the O coming back and picking up their wingers.

Well if they were on pace for 105 pts I don't think anyone bats much of an eyelash. As well those major blowout games likely don't exist either.
