Capitals @ Leafs - Apr. 14th, 7:00pm - TSN4, TSN 1050

Well, it's week one of my fantasy playoffs and I have Samsonov so way to go Leafs. Couldn't have another game that proved you were terrible and don't have the mental fortitude for playoff success?

Meaningless in a 7-3 game but it was a blatant hook that took Bunting out of the play in what would have been a 2 on 1 with Nylander

I started Swayman in that game he gave up 6 through 2 periods. Top fantasy team in the league went out week 1. Worth it I guess.

Boston blew a 2-0 lead and lost to the sens tonight, guess they're just gonna forfeit the rest of their season.

It doesn?t matter because they know how to turn it on in the playoffs whereas the leafs will be out in the first round.

Who was doing play by play tonight?
I never saw the guy before.  They mentioned Gord Miller was out sick.

Looks like it was Bryan Mudryk.
I don't mind him. He was better tonight then he was Tuesday. Gord is the best and love Ray.

I mean, I see the panel's point but by the same token he chose an inside route that is inherently more dangerous.  I called it dirty; maybe willfully reckless is a better term but either way it's a penalty.

Definitely willfully reckless. I don?t think he was trying to run Campbell over. He just didn?t care if he did.
Yup and most players won't either when pushed.

Sure, though most players will put a little effort into avoiding a collision. Wilson didn?t do that. If anything, he leaned into it some.

I like Wilson if he didn't do the dumb sh*t. Plays hard, can score he can be a valuable guy. Having said that I'd have to watch the replay again as I don't think it was all him. Muzzin had a say in the collision. He pushed him towards Jack but again I'd have to look at it a few more times.

Look no offence but this makes no sense coming from you. You literally want ever leafs player to mash every opposing player and so stupid shit every game.

I don't want players to play dirty and bash people. Been saying it forever love to see more grit, pushback, taking the body. Not decapitating other teams players. When I complain about Willy and trust me it's not only me. Wish he'd be more involved not shying away from contact. Always say and I said it regarding Engvall especially guys with a little size when you add that element to your game it makes you a better player. Sorry my friend you aren't interpreting me correctly.

Yes, I thought he was OK.  Like most play-by-play guys, he isn't able to vary the tone of his voice much in order to convey excitement.  They all get louder to do that, even the best ones like Bob Cole.  But Cole could also subtly alter his tone to indicate that things might soon get interesting, and then he'd kick it into overdrive for the goal call (or whatever) itself.

Boston clearly doesn't want a first round matchup with the Leafs . :)

Every Leaf forward had a 60% or better CF last night except the 4th line trio, who were about 41% and on the ice for the only 5-on-5 goal against. 8 games left to find an answer there.

If Kase were to come back then a solution is either Kase or Engvall on the 4th line with Blackwell and anyone.
