CBA Agreement Reached

'night folks... Going to bed expecting nothing to happen which probably means I'll miss a bunch...  :-\ and to think, this time next week, we'll be chatting in GDT and MotM threads.  :)

TSNBobMcKenzie: In a 48-game schedule, there'll be no play between conferences. East plays East and West plays West. But here's the schedule matrix for 48:

TSNBobMcKenzie: Each team plays: 4 games vs. two Divisional opponents (8 ); 5 games vs. two divisional opponents (10); 3 games vs 10 Conference rivals (30).

Please let Boston be one of the "only 4 times" division teams...

So Montreal and Ottawa seem to be the 5 game divisional opponents and Boston and Buffalo seem to be the 4 times divisional opponents.

Cool!

Couldn't have worked out any better. Toronto was 6-6 vs. Ottawa and Montreal last year. 3-8-1 vs. Buffalo and Boston.

Are eligible call-ups still subject to being claimed on waivers, just at full price?

No. There's no more waivers on the way up from the AHL, just on the way down to the AHL.

Do we still have to wait until noon the next day to make the claim? There's some rumors going around that we made a claim (or at least we might.)

@koshtorontosun
#Leafs have not claimed F Steve MacIntyre off waivers. Could happen, but nothing official right now.

Claims have always been able to be made the second the waiver list has been announced. The results of claims will still not be clear until noon the next day. The only change here was that weekend waivers don't last 48 hours anymore.

Anyone saying a team has claimed a player isn't necessarily wrong. It's just that, at this point, it doesn't mean the team will be awarded the player. Nothing's changed there.

Oh good, scrapped altogether. That's better. Thanks for clarifying.

I like that a lot, I think a lot of guys who could have been playing in the NHL stayed in the AHL during the last CBA because teams did not feel like they'd clear re-entry waivers.
