Cody Franson

My guess is they were planning on replacing Franson with Ranger, but when Ranger told management he wasn't ready to make the jump yet, they signed Franson to a one year contract. Just a guess.

I think you're reading way too much into things. My guess is Franson's contract and Ranger's decision have absolutely no influence on each other. They weren't going to offer Ranger an NHL contract over the summer and from mid-September until today, they couldn't sign Franson to one. The two are not linked.

Yeah, I get the feeling that Ranger isn't in a hurry to return, until it's right for him to.

Yeah, I get the feeling that Ranger isn't in a hurry to return, until it's right for him to.
