Giordano and Blackwell also both with solid debuts, providing exactly what you'd expect. Giordano was just steady and reliable, Blackwell provided a noticeable boost of energy to the 4th line.
Yup...like Blackwell's game and Gio was solid.

*Nylander with his best game in awhile*

"When is Nylander going to start playing better?"

I?d have to review the tape, but I think I saw Nylander playing F3 more often than not, especially on the backcheck, i.e. centre?s responsibilities. Their line had been struggling as they had all three forwards below the dots when turnovers happened (again, #1 and #3 in giveaways on the team on that line).

Lmao

So? How many hits did he have?

0 hits, baby, yeeeah

For those that weren't aware, NaturalStatTrick shows a map of all the logged game events (shots, hits, blocks, etc) per player in their post-game report, undr the Individual Event Maps header.

The side of the rink with the team's logo is their OZ. Of course these are subject to the discrepancies and biases that normally befall manually tracked data (event location is always a bit imprecise).

I absolutely watched Nylander hit someone.  I think it was midway through the first period.  It was on the far boards in the offensive zone toward the benches.  It wasn't a bonecrushing hit but he absolutely hit someone.

Jeez, my power went out after the 1st so I missed the pretty shorthanded goals and Marner's blast.  Thanks RedLeaf for doing the Game in 6.
