Ducks @ Leafs - Feb. 7th, 7:00pm - SNO, TSN 1050

The leafs 5 on 3 is so damn bad.  Horrible movement.  And my god Tavares, win a PP faceoff one time.

They should have charged Dermott for tickets on that goal, watched the whole thing, intervening not a once.

Maybe he thought that he could never make a shot like that.
I'm sure you understand the basic concepts of defence, his job is to assume the guy makes the shot and not give him the chance, that is literally his job and he watched the entire play, never making a play on the puck, preventing a pass or being physical.

I didn't say it was the *right* thing to do.  :P

That PP was atrocious. They have to stop letting Barrie shooting bombs from the line. Awful.

Barrie is a bad hockey player.  He has no business on the first unit. Sandin has to be out there.  How is it that a 5 on 3 PP centers on a point shot from someone who doesn?t hit the net?  It?s so easy to be better.

And now to the PK.

Overall, very uninspired first period.  Just one time it would be nice if they brought it.

Hakstol or whoever is in charge of the PP needs to figure out how to get them to play with some urgency on 5 on 3s.  Why would you ever  have Matthews way out by the blueline puck handling?  They look worse on 5/3s than regular PPs.

That's just a pisser.  ANA takes a really really stupid 2nd penalty and they don't make them pay.

Hyman on the PP in place of Nylander, ah no. Spezza is a better choice and Marner needs to make better passes.

High stick to marner right in front of the ref.  Ref doesn?t call it.  Amazing how many obvious calls the refs don?t call against the leafs.

Bieksa has observed more about the leafs in 1 period than any analyst in Toronto.  The defensive strategy is a concern.

2 assists for Matthews.  He is playing a solid game.  Defense.  Playmaking.  Such a good player.
