Ducks @ Leafs - Mar. 24th, 7:30pm - SNO, Fan 590

The feed I'm watching, in place of commercials, has an old nhl video game playing the Leafs versus Anaheim, Bob Corkum just scored on a penalty shot against Potvin, it's 7-1 Leafs...

Jeremy Bracco assisted on 3 powerplay goals to help Kitchener to a 5-4 lead in their 1st playoff game.  All three goals came on the same powerplay as Brendan Lemieux got a 5-minute major for slew footing.  The blood of Claude runs strong.

It was actually consecutive PP goals on 3 separate penalties, Lemieux's being the last, according to the boxscore.  Good to see Lemieux get 5 and a game, though.

Just back from my beer league game, where I scored my first goal in 3.5 years. It was a beauty - as I was falling from being crosschecked in the back, a point shot deflected in off my ass. I believe this is called the "holmstrom maneuver".

Now, to watch real hockey. Hmm, looks like I'm bad luck. It was 4-1 when I left the bar.

That was literally the worst thing I have ever seen.

Not watching, what happened??

On the powerplay, Gardiner was resetting in front of Sparks, and Nylander circled down and around him, which confused Gardiner. He was stripped easily by the forechecked who literally threw a backhander randomly behind himself as he was falling down and roofs it over Spark's blocker shoulder.

Well described.  The only detail I would add was that Gardiner and Nylander looked like they were trying to re-enact the Grand Pas de Deux from "Swan Lake."

Ducks on the PP now thanks to a turnover in the D zone, forcing Marincin to make a hold.

Not really noted by the commentators is how Nylander first stripped the puck from the Duck carrier on a great stick check. His reverse pass to Rielly and Marincin caught them both off guard because neither made a move for the puck, which gave the Ducks the puck.
