Hope?

We were getting down in the list of remaining players, it was late, and I thought at the time I should pick at least one Leaf?

Yeah I get that at the start of the year he could have gone either way - but whats he still doing on your team?

We only get one move, so I have to make it a good one. I'd been hoping he came back and lasted more than a couple of shifts, you know? If he was on, he'd be worth it. I figured folks would question Dubinsky before Connolly! ;)

Well if you want to finish middle of the pack in all your pools follow my advice! :]

Glad to activate this thread again... Anyway, 2 quickies (points only.)

1. Krejci, Lupul, Couture, Hartnell, or Purcell.
2. Benn, Spezza, Eberle, Kane, or Kessel.

(I currently have Lupul and Eberle.)

Speaking of which anyone know one I can join? None of my buddies are doing g it this year.

This is the only one I'm involved in. - It's an office pool and as much as I'd love to ask about including some folks from here, I'm pretty sure the guy wants to keep it in-house. Anyway, yeah, I might be open to joining another depending on the format so I'd be interested to know too...

Im going to be talking to a bunch of people to see if I can set one up. Its just going to be a simple yahoo fantasy head to head league. I don't know too much about running it but honestly I'd be pretty much hands off and set up a live online draft sometime before training camp.

What other details are needed?

Okay, sorry.... Deleted the last reply. If you put something together, let me know... Though I think there's one already on the go so I'm not sure how many people you'll get here.

Alright, well I'm sure everyone knows my intentions by now :P

I'm seeing if there's any interest in getting a fantasy hockey league going. I'm not sure if there's one going already though. If anyone's interested let me know. I'll be inviting a few friends of mine as well. No money or buy-ins, just plain ol' GM'ing.

Hope to get 8-12 people for the league, do a draft at 12:00pm on Sunday Jan 19 at 12pm if everyone agrees. Head to Head yahoo league.

Reply or send me a PM if interested or need more info.

Cheers :)

Not the answer you want to hear, but honestly I'd say the players in both groups are so close in what they project to score it's really a 5-way coin flip. Purcell would be the only guy I have as a slight notch below the other 4 in his group.

To narrow it down a little bit I'd probably go with Lupul/Couture and Spezza/Kessel. I don't typically like to pick Leafs in my draft so I'd likely go with the other guy, but you might not have that same reservation.

Thanks Carlton... I'll keep Loops (he's an upcoming UFA and sometime that helps.) I'll probably flip Eberle for Spezza though I'm rather infatuated with Eberle... I think he keeps getting better and better.

I've got 2 drafts tonight.

Anyone have any players that are ranked WAY to low in the crappy yahoo rankings? Havlat's ranked 350th, behind 3rd liners and backup goalies. Hemsky and Briere are also ranked very low.

Zajac is too, since he missed most of last year with injury.  I snatched him up late in all 3 of my pools!

I ended up getting Chris Stewart and Ales Hemsky in the 17th and 18th rounds. 215 players were taken before Hemsky, 194 before Stewart. lol!

Sidney Crosby at 4th.

Concussion issues. I think people are afraid he's damaged goods.

Points only - Am I nuts to be taking Datsyuk over OV? I tweeted Dobber and asked for his advice. He said OV but I think I'll stick with Datsyuk.  :-\
