Leafs didn?t deserve to lose this one either.  Goaltending needs to stop the puck.  The defense needs to be a lot better but the goalie just needs to stop the puck.

Yep but this story is getting old real fast

Sometimes a goaltender has to steal you a win and sometimes they just need to not be the reason for a loss. This was, in my mind, 100% on Freddie. 16 shots. Even a .900 would've done it.

Should have just pulled him for the whole 3rd period.

Leaf killer Big save Dave in deck.  Yikes

Have you noticed how Vancouver has been playing? And we can?t beat Ottawa nor Calgary. So explain how at the rate which were playing how it?s not a legit concern?

No it's not. The Leafs were the better team. Once again.

Frustrating as hell. But there is no way the Leafs can keep Andersen. This team is too good to waste a year with him in the playoffs. They need someone who can be relied on.

The Leafs can't be going into the playoffs with Andersen and Campbell. I like Campbell but he is still an unknown and is hurt too much.

Did you guys switch to summer time? I missed the first period.
I hope the second is better than the first one sounds like.
I like that term a lot better than Daylight Saving(s) time [emoji846] but yes we did.

Well, if they lose 6 of 7 over and over the rest of the way, then yeah, that's a concern.

Said they would be in 3rd by the end of the month. I was being easy on them. Dubas is a twit. All this talk about getting a forward in a trade that's not our f'kn problem. 3rd in goals for in the league. Maybe a shakeup is needed with this core and in a big way and get a net minder that can play every night and steal a game or two because Andersen isn't. I don't even know if Campbell is the answer. Never been a starter so can he carry the load for a full season? Think the lead they had allowed them to buy some time but Dubas should have already done something because now it's tightened right up and you're absolutely right.

So 3 deflections off his own players and the 2nd goal was a guy left wide open but this is 100% on Freddie? I'm not saying Freddie is blameless but to lay this all on him, not buying it.

All eyes on 36 tomorrow.  If he barfs one up they'll have a loooong 4 days off.

Watch - he'll play a steady, quiet game like last time he played. The team will rally around him, because he's well liked. He'll get a shutout, and then Keefe will put the sieve in the next game.

I just watched a 9 point lead evaporate within 2 weeks. Believe what you want, this team never fails to disappoint.

So, you think they are really as bad as the 1-6 record indicates?  And that everything before was a fluke?

The team doesn't like Andersen?

They're obviously not as good as they looked in Edmonton, but also not as bad as their recent 1-6 record suggests. Exactly how good they are, I don't know at this point. The goalies have been a problem lately. Not the only problem, but that's one position where we've definitely been outplayed recently.

Did you see the Markstrom save near the end? Did Freddy do that on any of the shots tonight? Didn't think so.

Yeah. It's all on him tonight, sorry. 16 shots. I don't care how hard some of the saves are, some of the hard ones need to be stopped. The idea that your goalie is only responsible for obviously stoppable shots is ridiculous and needs to stop.
