Flames @ Leafs - Mar. 20th, 7:00pm - SN, TSN 1050

Andersen isn't even dressed tonight? Certainly gives something to the idea that he's been playing through an injury. Leafs have 4 days off after this one, and then after that there's a stretch of 2 weeks where Campbell could potentially hold the fort before the schedule becomes a lot more condensed with some back-to-backs. Hopefully that helps.

He himself said this week he's not 100%.  Accounting for the usual understatement in these kinds of comments, and looking at how he's been slow side to side, I wouldn't be surprised if he's got a groin problem that's bothering him more than he would ever admit to the press.  Smart move by Keefe to tack on an extra day of rest.

As much as you don?t want to give up on games I would almost be more inclined to sit either of Campbell or Andersen on non start days if they are nursing leg or groin injuries.

Let's just hope Campbell can stay healthy and play well so Freddie can heal properly. If both are healthy I think we'll be good.

That's a tough thing to do though. Say one gets hurt in the game? Now you have to go with Hutch. I think Freddie being off totally tonight's says more about his injury then anything else, especially with Jack coming off injury himself.

So Matthews gets crosschecked and Muzzin with the extra punch to the face from Tkachuk. Who we got to stick up for their teammates? Answer nobody. For those of you who don't think they need a guy that can fight and answer the bell against the opposition there's the reason why.

Simmonds.

Cant imagine Simmonds is interested in fighting coming back from a broken hand

Nope. Lots of season left to get even.

It's maddening when your star gets boarded by a cement mixer but what are you saying?  We need a Fraser McLaren?

They need guys like Tkachuk and Lucic. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, not even someone like Holl, would ever dare hit one of Calgary's best players, like Gaudreau, because of those guys. That's the logic, right?

Theres a difference between clean hits and dirty ones. Holl's I wouldn't say was dirty but that's the league now regardless of clean or dirty someone comes back at you. I personally don't like the retaliations on a clean hit. It's hockey. The ones I don't like are the slimy punch to the face on Muzzin a guy wearing a shield and the Lucic hit was dirty he could have held up but it was a hit from behind. Problem is Lucic knows there will be no answer from anyone.

And who might I ask comes back at Lucic? LOL. Maybe Tkachuk like I said but Leafs have no-one to handle Lucic.

I certainly don?t mean for the rest of the season just maybe the next couple of weeks.  Last thing we need is Campbell going in cold in relief and getting hurt again.  I might just accept a loss or unexpected good outing from Hutch if the main starter goes down in a game.

I don?t care so much about seeding and with two healthy starters I think we can probably overcome a once or twice loss in the short term

I don't care if they end up 1st or not.
