It's just something about Boston.  They are confident playing us, we are not confident playing them, etc.

Yeah, which sucks and all, but, isn't necessarily the worst thing in the world either. A game like this every couple weeks helps keep them honest, and, Boston getting some points helps keep them out of the bottom 5, just in case they don't manage to really turn it around. Obviously, I'd rather see the Leafs win and tonight's game has been very hard to watch, but, it's not the end of the world and other such cliches.

Yep good points. Leafs bounced back after the 6-2 drubbing so hopefully they dust this one off and win the next.

First game after a long stretch on the road is often a bit of a let down, but, this is too much. Just plain bad tonight.

They were literally just standing and looking on that 5th goal. I do think that the Bruins with 3 full days off and the Leafs 3rd game in 4 nights is a huge factor here.  Bruins are extra motivated for points too. Add that all up and you get this stinker.

Losing at home like this sucks but like Busta already alluded to....an ass-kicking like this keeps them honest. They aren't going to win them all and Boston just seems to have their number this year.

Seguin looks great. He sure wants Leafs fans to know who won that trade.

Now 5-0.

I'm sick of this game.

The leafs need someone like Chara to shutdown other teams top players.  It's a pity schenn has not stepped up into that kind of role.

Yup. They won 5 of 7 between that one and tonight. Tonight has not been good - there's no getting around that - but, it's just one game.

How would you like to be Jeff Carter? Never once signed a contract with the Blue Jackets but bound to them contractually for 11 years.

Well, that's only if he wants to continue playing hockey professionally. ;)

He'd have the best hobo story in the world, wouldn't he?

I'm sure he'll make for an excellent barista.

I always found him to be a better scorer than a server.  Maybe he could be a caddy?

lose 5-4 or 5-0, its the same result in the standings. Im not worried at all.

What I am worried about is if Glen Healey continues to work for HNIC, I don't think I can watch many more of these broadcasts.

I would agree with both of you that we aren't going to win them all but what have you guys been watching lately. Simpson stated it during the second period we have won some games lately because the goaltending sucked for the other team. We were outplayed by Columbus what does that tell you. This isn't a first place team. Sure good teams find ways to win and I'm glad we're doing it but the team has a lot of flaws like I stated earlier today. Boston hasn't exactly been on fire to start the season. They have averaged 2.45 goals per game coming into tonight and that number is going to go up which I'm not even counting.  Goals have been a struggle to start the season. If you take away the 2 games against us it sits around 2. The team runs around and most nights Reimer, Gus and even Scrivens the other night have won some games for us. Tonight the Bruins have only 17 shots but a lot of good chances and poor defensive coverage which has been happening too much to start the season.

I would happily retire after playing 11 years of hockey.

That is just pathetic. How did that wind up being an open one-timer?  This team can be so lazy at times.
