I think his skating is still really weak, and he's relatively easily knocked off of the puck. I think another year of development is in the cards. There's a lot there to like, but if he doesn't address certain issues I could see him ending up more like Steckel (more talented) than Thornton.

Just nice to see another forward out there with some size.
 
Tampa broadcast just replayed Stamkos's commentary throughout the second period. They have him mic'ed. When Franson knocked him off his feet at the side of the net, he apologized to Stamkos. "Sorry, boss" he said. Nice polite boy that Cody Franson.
 
Was Franson even hooking him.  He had his hand on his back, but I thought I saw his stick on the ice?
