Reimer has to make that save.  Terrible angle on the puck.

One of the best goal scorers in the world wide open in the slot with plenty of time, and you're blaming Reimer?

Yeah just leave Vanek wide open..good jorb idiots

It was a turnover - no one would be in perfect defensive position in that situation.

Certainly not to call anyone an 'idiot', unless it's Gardiner for turning it over.

Honestly, he didn't have much of an angle, and didn't have any alternative other than to shoot.  Obviously he had way too much time, but Reimer gave him far too much of the net to work with.

If I was going to blame somebody (other than Gardiner), it would be Armstrong. He was the forward coming back and seemed to skate towards the passer (Kassian) instead of identifying a wide-open Vanek. But like you said, it was a defensive breakdown and sometimes that just leads to more mistakes.

You don't normally cover opposing players when your team has the puck, our players were going the other way and Gardiner turned it over.
