Game 37: Flyers @ Leafs, 7:00PM EST April 4th, 2013 - Snet-Ont, CSN - PH

So the head is clearly the principal point of contact for Rosehill.

Still doesn't look that way to me. I see him making contact with the shoulder first as Lupul's head snaps in his direction and then hits his shoulder.

Busta, I agree with you.  You can't miss a call like that.

I hope this isn't the beginning of a dive, esp. if Lupul is out long-term.  Saturday's game just got a whole lot more important.

I could live with missed calls, if there was some kind of accountability. The ref wouldn't even talk to Reimer. That's just ignorant.

Tonight's loss was probably deserved, but, I mean, without competent officiating, we just can't know for sure.

I don't know how you can say tonight's loss was deserved. I don't think the Leafs played poorly, they had tons of unlucky bounces, had one goal count against them that shouldn't have, and there were tons of missed calls against them.

They were flat for most of the first, invisible for most of the 2nd and only really came on in the back half of the 3rd. They did not play well at all. They looked slow, they were out of synch, they were terrible defensively. They did not play well enough to win, and, if the Flyers were a better team, that would have been painfully obvious.

The 3rd goal was a stinker by Reimer as well. He should have had it.

Yeah. It wasn't good, but, it was also the result of a really bad giveaway, and he was partially screened. He should have had it and gets a good chunk of the blame on that one, but there's a lot of it to be spread around.

I thought they had a lot of chances throughout the game. Giveaways were a problem, other than that thought they competed hard the whole game. Not a game where you can say they deserved to lose in my opinion. More of a "tough loss"...but anyways, who cares, a loss is a loss.

Couldn't catch the game tonight, but I heard McLaren was good to go. Thank heavens. With him and Orr both in the line-up there's no way Philly's goons ran one of our stars.

Right guys?

Carlyle decided to employ them in an offensive role instead.

What's sad is that with Lupul out I think you're only half-joking.

I didn't see the game, but with the amount of complaints here about hooking and tripping going uncalled, I am even more convinced that the whistles have started to be put away. I have seen more and more of that stuff lately...

And to have the game decided based on a blown call, well....
