The last 3 goals he's let in have been pretty odourous...
The Leafs had to bury their earlier chances and failed to. Reimer's not been great this game, but no one has outside of Kessel.
What does any of that have to do with Reimer letting in bad goals?
It's only two goals. Jesus it's not like it's 8-1. I'm saying these things happen, your goaltender isn't going to play 100% all the time and the team has to be ready to sometimes play well for the goaltender.
Reimer can shut the door the rest of the game and the team will lose more for an inept powerplay and bone dry offense rather than Reimer letting in two goals, bad goals or not.

I think the point is: it's a team sport.
Yeah, but there's only one goalie.
True. And he's at a distinct disadvantage when it comes to scoring the 2+ goals we need to win this game.

Our faceoff advantage evaporated this game, maybe the guys just weren't up to it tonight.

Second PP should be Frattin where Kessel is with Franson of left and Gunner on right.Zanzibar Buck-Buck McFate said:I think we can all agree that this team will go nowhere unless they get some kind of PP going. Now, the fact that we haven't had a good one ever since Wilson has been the coach is pure coincidence.

It's only 2-1, it's a close game and the Avs are a strong fore-checking team that's very fast. Any team is going to have more difficulties beating them. There are some mistakes, but I don't think it's a bad game really for the Leafs.

I agree. That doesn't change the fact that he let in two bad goals.

We're down by 1 goal, and it could easily be the other way around (see Kulemin batting the puck off the post, etc; Reimer doesn't let in one of those goals).
You're making it sound like they're mopping the floor with us. We're not going to win every game, it's going to still be tough pretty much every night (the parity in the league), and being down 2-1 in a game that has been pretty even so far is nothing to worry about, in my opinion.
We won't win every game, but when we do lose, there's no point in freaking out and saying it is like last year's team or whatever, especially this early in the season. This team was always going to lose, and just because they do, all it means is they are like every other team. Even Detroit will lose.

I'd say one bad goal. And Jiggy let in one bad goal. Nullify both and you've got a 1-0 game.

True, but if that PP doesn't get better soon, they won't win enough games, Reimer awesome or average.
