leafs win this one ...just to screw with our heads...follow it up by getting blown out by the habs 10-0

If they win tonight they go on a winning streak. That's my feel good prediction of the day.

Sorry fellow leaf fans, but the nutman is throwing in the towel on this season.

I just cant take this crap any longer. heres hoping Wilson is gone when I return. as for the game tonight, who cares at this point.

will be just lurking from time to time.
Nutman your optimism is legendary on this board and especially the old forum for you to throw the towel in is indeed a sad day in Leafland. Take a Leaf break, rejuvenate yourself and come back for the 2012-2013 season with that silver lining on a dark cloud attitude that we've known for years on TMLfans, without it things just wouldn't be the same.

Well, just so long as you're back in time for next season so you can call everyone who doesn't think the Leafs will make the playoffs stupid pessimists.

of course I will, with bells on  ;D.  and I still stand by the fact we have a solid team, its the coaching thats the issue.

I think you're crazy if you don't think we need upgrades on our players.

Well I'm honestly glad you can be so optimistic.  I wish I was like you sometimes.

I see a team with no coach, no 1st line center, no power forward, no team toughness, no shut down defender, no goaltender, little in terms of speciality teams and I don't think all of those problems will go away with a coaching change.

Exactly! Althouh I do think we're closer than we think. The 1C is an issue, but I'm content with Grabbo as a 2C. Kooly can stay (assuming he turns it around) Mac can go, perhaps replaced with Kadri. We need a strong 3C, a Mike Peca in his prime type and a dirty grinding 3rd line. Maybe Frattin and Carter Ashton can fill those roles soon. Steckel in the 4C, with Brown I'm content with. Maybe a better fourth line winger is needed.

Goaltending... I think we should have Reimer backup a vet, maybe if we can get Schneider or Halak or Harding.

Leafs = Roadkill.

They play like they are lost in space. How hard is it to come to work for 60 stupid minutes getting paid $4 - 6 Million Bucks, or hell $600,000.

They can't possibly start the game any worse than yesterday?

Right?

...Right?

I suppose if any of the Black Hawks can skate faster than the Panthers, they could conceivably score in fewer than 13 seconds..........

Maybe Schenn can just fire one at his own net. Get it over with.

Gustavsson is starting. I'm actually a little surprised at that. I figured they were just going to ride Reimer, win or lose, the rest of the way.
