General Leafs Talk: Post-Olympics Edition

Time for the Loafs to get rid of everyone except Kessel and Rielly and import the french team. Would really piss of the Habs

Guy at the Twitter handle @ShutDownLine is embarking on a huge task this summer to watch thousands of games and track things such as zone entries (carry-ins vs. dump-ins) among other data.  Studies have shown that gaining the zone with possession leads to more chances/goals than dumping it in, so his goal is partly to track who is good/bad at that,

He just posted a 9-game snapshot of the Leafs focusing on the D.  It shows the number of times opposing players gained the zone carrying the puck or versus dumping the puck in when on the side of that D or when that D was guarding the line.  Now, it's only a 9 game sample, but I thought it might be of interest to some people and you could then follow his Twitter account if you're curious about how it all turns out.

It seems that advanced stats are finally getting to the "takeoff point" where they aren't just of interest to hockey geeks like the folks who frequent sites like this.  So now this guy is doing his analysis.  My question to you, Potvin, since you follow this stuff, is: which of these stats do you think will become the most widely used and accepted?
