Why not give them a shot?

I wouldn't go that far... I'm fairly certain the confidence level with either of those guys wouldn't be any higher than with what we currently have. - So what would be the point?

Well, then they need to start acting on that realization, because, as we've seen, when they play well as a team, the goaltending becomes somewhat of a non-issue.
Cox is an idiot, but he might be right. Right now, do you see the Leafs signing Gus in the off season? I don't.Zanzibar Buck-Buck McFate said:Well, Cox has appointed himself GM and declared Gus done in TO. Pretty funny.

There isn't a doubt in my mind that the goaltending issue will be addressed in some fashion before this Monday at 3pm.
Might not be so easy. It doesn't look like there's much available in terms of goaltending right now. A trade to bring back Giggy would be ideal but he has a year left on his contract so I doubt Colorado is looking to dump him.

Typical over-reaction from Cox. Way, way too definitive a stance. Gus could just as easily get another start and be lights out. You just can't make a decision like this on a single horrible goal.

I missed the game last night but when i watched the highlights it looked like Gus let in more than one bad goal.

I don't think Allaire's time in Toronto has been something to be proud of. I'm not saying its his fault, but aside from getting us a couple goalies, one of whom has been an utter disappointment, he hasn't really been a factor worth mentioning.

So you wouldn't want to attract goaltending prospects for free?
Gotcha.

No, that's not what I said.
