Golden Knights @ Leafs - Nov. 2nd, 7:00pm - TSN4, TSN 1050

Really not too sure about the idea of a 22-year old rookie finally putting two solid back-to-back NHL games together on the bottom pairing and then getting thrown into much tougher minutes.

I wonder if Muzzin's groin is something that needs surgery?  His skating just looks wrong at this point.

I won tickets to the game tonight, so I'm very excited for this one.  I hope the 4-of-the-top-6 thing doesn't mean they take their foot off the gas like they did in Pittsburgh.

Nice game to win tickets to. Glad they pulled one out for you.

It was a fun one!  The Ford Fan Deck is kind of an awkward place to watch the game, since you're basically in the 600 level over top the away net (and have to lean over the rail to see it), but had an excellent bird's-eye view of that Marner goal from overhead!  (also, there was all you can eat popcorn!  However, it was extra salty, and basically made you want to have a $14 beer lol).

But great performance by the Leafs!  The one thing I noticed, though, and not sure how it came out over the broadcast, but the puck was very awkward and bouncing all over the place for both teams.  I noticed a lot hard passes to take and passes off the skates, etc.  That might be an SBA thing.

When I was 3 my grandfather threw me into Lake Erie and said, "Swim for your life, kid.  That's a freshwater shark behind you there."

And yet, it is Michael Phelps with all those gold medals in swimming....

Charming stories about irresponsible (grand)parenting aside.... :P

Did I mention that I'm Vince Lombardi's grandson?  (And Nik, don't think I haven't noticed what you did to Nonno Vincenzo's famous quote in your signature block.)

Samesies for sure.

I think maybe now that Rielly has signed his new big deal, he won't be as demanding of top minutes and top PP time...he might enjoy breaking in a new kid now that he's signed a deal that'll likely take him into retirement.

Yeah, I mean it's not hard to understand that people can have a certain level of knowledge but be way in over their head when the difficulty ramps up just due to lack of experience.

It's really funny that Mitch Marner succeeds when he plays like a puckmoving, playmaking RD.

...

Who is #7 on the Knights? because that was the worst penalty-killing I've ever seen.

Funny you should ask, regarding top end RD

yikes. I didn't even think of him; didn't realize he killed penalties.
Neither does he, apparently.
