Habs @ Leafs - Jan. 18th, 7:00pm - CBC, TSN 1050

Remember how everyone hated Darcy Tucker and how he is viewed as one of the most awful Leaf players because of his emotional outbursts on the ice?  Yeah.  Me neither.

I remember watching P.K. Subban in Belleville and thinking, 'He's never going to get away with moves and attitude like that at the NHL level."  Well guess what, he has, probably even gotten worst.  His younger brother has the same 'make the right move in a split second' decision-making.  Only question is his defense.

I guess we need a Subban like gesture to begin every game to fire this bunch up. They should be able to do this game in and game out for the kind of pay they are making.  In any case nice to see the Leafs play this way and on a 4 game tear. Funny but it sort of coincides with Gleason's arrival on the team.  Looks like a nice addition.
Going to the game in Phoenix on Monday so hope they retain the fire.

I don't have any particular dislike for Subban. What annoyed me was the broadcast. The love affair with him was just annoying. It felt like I was watching a documentary on Subban and he just happened to be playing the Leafs that night.

Gleason was also a part of Toronto beating up on Carolina (his last game as a Hurricane) and the Islanders/Carolina debacles.  I think the improved play has far more to do with the top line scoring like gangbusters and Gleason just being better than Ranger/Fraser more than anything.

Lupul-Kadri-Kulemin shouldn't be broken up. Ever. All three of them had their best games in awhile.

Kulemin is one of the most underrated players in the league.

I find Kuly's talent to be a bit deceiving... because it's not always apparent how fast and strong he is, or that he has a nice wrister too.

Kulemin has the 13th most points in his 2006 draft class.  Only 1 player drafted below him has more points than Kulemin (Lucic who is 5th in overall scoring)
