The shot out sucks dude, it has no place in professional hockey.

We should do what the NBA does.  just IMO

The NBA would never do what it does if the NBA frequently had scoreless overtimes.

They still have ties at the end of overtime. Same thing. 3 or 3 won't be scoreless for 10 min too often.

Man, the Leafs have lost 12 straight against the Canadiens.  This streak has to end.  It will be nice to see some of these long losing streaks go the other way.

Still have the playoff series win streak against the Sens.

True, but I think the Leafs on a 6 game losing streak to them.  Hopefully they can pull out a win against their division rivals soon.

Ties at the end of overtime are very, very infrequent in the NBA. You probably get a handful of 2 or 3 OT games in the league every year.

You're just never going to have endless regular season OT in the NHL. Either make your peace with ties or shootouts because honestly, 3 on 3 is no less gimmicky than the shootout.

I am sorry IMO it was piss poor coaching tonight. BIB should of been in net.
And it you can't get your team up for MON there is a effin problem. Especially if half their team is injured. Hit Price, make him uncomfortable. For crying out loud. And BS refs.

Unless you were saying that about Bibeau before the game started it's really just the sort of crystal ball hindsight that just amounts to crying because the team lost.

Bibeau is no less likely to get lit up.

Bah I hate to say it but Price is the best.

Yeah, and maybe tonight burst the balloon of everyone talking about how Anderson is a top 10 goalie in the league. He's still not close to being a Carey Price. Until we have a sound defence, our goaltending alone, no matter how much it has improved, isn't going to see us through into the playoffs.

I don't think either of them played very well.

Could/Should/Would have, or Could/Should/Would've.
It's a common error these days because the contracted form of 'have' does sound like 'of'.

Another disappointing loss against the team I hate the most. Cmon Babcock find a way to beat these guys. 13 straight wow. Worse thing is listening to Hab fans who won't admit when they get outplayed. I hope Price goes down again and then see where they get.

that is 3 in row that we have out played them.
I would just run Price and take the 2 mins.

Oh man, what a super smart idea. We run their best player and then they sit around and say "Gosh, are we allowed to retaliate?" as they watch Marner and Matthews skate around.

Because Webber did it and we got really nothing, accept for hyman getting beat up.

My preference is ties. But I also prefer 3 on 3 to shootouts.

I have the radio on.  Is there seriously a debate on Lou not letting Matthews go to the Allstar game?

It's something that's been kicked around with no official word from the team. On the one hand, it seems unlikely. On the other hand it'd be petty and stupid with no real benefit so I'm willing to believe it from Lamoriello.

Haha that last.

So who actually decides this, is it the GM or the league or what?

After a shakey start at the beginning of the season, Anderson has, by and large, been very good. No, he's not Price and that's a silly comparison. Anderson had a bad game. Even God like Price does too.
