Holland up, D'amigo down

I fully anticipate you losing it tomorrow, assuming Kadri on the 4th will make you lose it too. 11 is written in permanent marker in the 3rd line centre position.

Yeah. That would likely also set me off, but, with Holland . . . less than a week ago, Carlyle publicly stated that putting Holland on the 4th line was bad for his development. It's just that extra little bit of fuel for the fire.

@BSH_EricT

McClement is averaging 0.43 pts/60 at 5v5. In last 7 years, no F has played 10+ min 5v5 per game and finished worse

I honestly pray that Carlyle plays him for 5 minutes on the 4th line.

And then when the camera pans to him on the bench he slaps Holland on the back of the head and gives the camera the finger.

I actually spit coffee all over my keyboard..Thanks

I'm glad that a state of utter confusion in Leafland has been restored.  I fully expect Holland to play 6 minutes against Boston, likely with Orr on his wing wearing a pair of foam fingers on his hands.  On the other wing... does it matter?

*twitch*

I thought that other guy, Smithsen (sp?), was the worst offensive player in the league?

Don't think he averaged 10:00+ at 5 on 5 per game.  Depends what your criteria/comparison metrics are.  I don't know what was used when Smithson was called that, but I think overall the answer is both are very bad offensively.

Oooh, the passive-aggressive Carlyle/Nonis drama continues.. let me get my popcorn.

As for the actual moves, I loved Holland when I still had hopes for this season, but I've all but given up now, and would rather have the 2nd.  And I'll miss D'Amigo.

This is Toronto.  Now that Holland plays, they'll lose a 2nd rounder and end up trading Kadri for a 3rd rounder when Bolland comes back.

I know the answer to this is fairly obvious, but why is McLaren still on the team? Whenever they've been on the roster D'Amigo, Ashton, and Bodie have all typically played while he was in the pressbox. So he's like what, at best 15th on the forward depth chart? Plus any of Devane/Biggs/Broll.

Anyways nobody answer this I know, I know.

Orr + McLaren  on 2 year deals...cap sense.

Well, I mean, if you're going to carry a 13th forward you're barely ever going to use . . .

It's like playing Euchre with somebody that doesn't get the game!!!!

Holland up, D'Amigo stays on the 4th line and McLaren goes on waivers...... Is that so hard? Seriously, the messages being sent to these players is screwed up at best.

I would love to see a 4th line with D'Amigo and Leivo centered by McClement playing 10-12 minutes/night.  Let Kadri center the 3rd line and put Holland on the 2nd.  I would be OK with a number of other young guys getting a shot as well.  Please, please, please no more knuckle tossers.  Other teams don't engage them anymore (rarely), so lets dress a line-up that can play and actually roll 4 lines RC.  You know, like other teams (that win) do.

Nonis probably told Carlyle he had to play McLaren or McClement on the fourth line and Carlyle thought he said McLaren, Orr, McClement.

Aside from all the icetime discussion, this is good.  Bully for D'Amigo and trying (and I rather have him in the lineup than Orr most times), but he's looked like the quintessential AHLer to me.
