What a gutsy win! Down 1-0, then 3-2, we managed to get 4 past Freddie. Marner huge game.

When he was on our team I don't know how many times we had to say, Andersen played really well ... and lost.
There were a lot of them over 5 years. Our guy was great tonight! Kept them in it and has now won 4 in a row, 5 of last 6 and only gave up 2 in his last loss.

This is really fun team to watch, and I?ve been watching for 50+ years. I?ve seen teams with *some* elite talent, not many but some real good players in some eras..nothing like Matthews and Marner, Jt and Willy to a slight lesser extent.

What is going to be crushing is that the East has some very elite teams, and if the Leafs don?t make it out of the first round, it?s going to be considered a disaster by many and may lead to one of the Big 4 going which would be awful (Marner or Willy).

Playoffs are going to be nerve-wracking.

East is the beast this year. Amy of the current 8 in a playoff position could win it.

The conference should be seeded 1-8 right away. There's really no reason why it shouldn't. Travel and playoff rivalries aside. It's the fairest approach especially when you have a stacked division.

Assuming Auston is out with a concussion here's what my top-six looks like:

Bunting-Tavares-Marner
Mikheyev-Kerfoot-Nylander

It really should be that simple. The regular season results have to mean something.

62 game regular season, home and away against every team add a 5th playoff round, and do 1 vs 32, 2 v 31 and so on. Re-seed in every round.

I like the schedule idea. I think stick to a 16 team, 4 round playoff structure - regular season should mean more than just playoff rankings - and go 1v16, 2v15, etc.

You want better division/geographic rivalries...bring back back-to-backs against division teams.  Four games against each division opponent.  You play two home games and two road games and either play split series or back to backs against each other.  Build up animosity and don't space games out over the season.

I was trying to find a way to recoup some of the lost revenue of fewer regular season games.

Whenever these 2 teams play and they talk about playoffs I think back to that series where Sundin tied it up late in G5 (?) and then the Canes won in OT.  Closest we've been to the finals in years.

Of course we probably would have gotten destroyed by Detroit if we had made it to the final.

This was my first ever Leaf?s game. What a roller coaster that has turned out to be in the 20+ years since

Okay. Add 2 extra games against each divisional opponent. Brings us to 76 games. Brings us close enough. Hold a mini single game elimination tournament for the top pick instead of a lottery.
