Hurricanes @ Leafs - Mar. 17th, 7:00pm - SNO, TSN 1050

Pretty embarrassing game for the Canes tonight. Couldn't beat a team missing their best player and with their 3rd string goalie in net? Clearly a sign these guys aren't elite. Can't see them winning a playoff round.

So do the Leafs trade for a goalie? I say don't do it unless you can what a guy for really cheap. Don't give up any real assets but if it's not possible we roll with the guys we've got.

It's too bad our 3rd line sucks though as someone suggested in another thread.

I don't how anyone could find something to complain about our 3rd line. Such a great line. Any way the Leafs can bring back Mickey? It will suck to lose him.
Depends on the ask. I think they'll do everything they can to bring him back. He's an important piece. So is Engvall...they may have to sacrifice Keefoot..

Anyone can go of the 3 it's Engvall. He doesn't do anything better than Kerfoot and even though has the size on Kerfoot definitely doesn't use it.

Now that it?s over I decided that yes, I enjoyed that. It was a gritty playoff style performance.

And I agree the atmosphere sounded great. Definitely St Patrick?s Day inspired.

I'm just saying, they clearly need to trade for a defenceman.

Third string.  He?s their 5th string goalie.

Really don't see what some of you see in him. Easily replaceable in my opinion. Only reason and only reason in my opinion if its Kerfoot to go is due to salary. Makes almost 3 times what Pierre makes which is huge. Like I said if he used his size more and didn't shy away from contact he'd be a better player but he doesn't and won't.

Agree...plus we'll need Kerfoot's cap hit to pay others.

Did someone just ask Marner if Keefe asked the Leafs to play Carolina's game? Why would they try to play like a terrible team?

The Leafs were never going for a top tier goalie IMO. Like many have said in the industry. You fix your goaltending in the summer, not at the deadline. If the Leafs were to go for a goalie, I would target Varlamov who is signed through next year as well.

I missed this?..I?m sure Leafs did the traditional vid for Andersen.  Was there any boos?
They did the vid last time he was here and I don't think anyone would boo him regardless...well they shouldn't.
