Idiocracy

As someone who has family in and visited the US a lot over the years I?ve actually not felt in any way enticed to visit for the last few years. Hopefully things improve and maybe it?ll become a more attractive proposition again.

But Biden has a massive job on his hands cos that country is as close to being broken as any and there?s a lot of issues to be looked at.

Hopefully the US will return to the Paris climate agreement, for one thing.

Forum needs a like button.

Interestingly , I don?t have much time for Boris Johnson either, but he tweeted this earlier which also referenced climate change which I thought was interesting

Maybe Biden can even reign him in a bit.

If the UK wants a US trade deal I suspect Biden would have a lot of support for Ireland so won?t be letting any deals that are negative to the island through, for example. So I could see this even push the UK to make a proper deal with the EU.

Biden has said straight up that any US-UK trade deal is contingent on there not being a return to a hard border in Ireland and that respects the Good Friday agreement.

But in general, this is from a guy who was Obama's spokesman at the National Security Council and is big in Democratic organizing now:

It's really too bad that people are going to forget that Trump's team meant to have a press conference at a Four Seasons hotel today but because they're a bunch of idiots booked something called the Four Seasons Total Landscaping and ended up having to do it at somewhere that basically looks like a scrap yard.

It really is breathtaking that Trump and all of his useless, forgettable, soon to be confined to history's garbage bin goons are so morally bankrupt that you occasionally forget just how incompetent they are too.

Yup. There was a moment when I was actually worried that some of Trump's lawsuits against the votes could actually go somewhere, but then details of some of those suits came out and it reminded me that he surrounds himself with just the dumbest people and it really took a load off.

There's an analogy here that I won't use but the ultimate irony is that Republicans are so obsessed with voter suppression and use so many tactics to make it difficult to vote that it effectively makes large scale voting fraud, the only thing that would give those suits merit, impossible.

Buddy, use a cheaper brand. He does not deserve a picker upper that is quicker.

Over/under on the length of his State of the Nation speech next spring? Based on tonight's acceptance speech I think he should be able to blister through it in no more than 20 minutes.
