Islanders @ Leafs - Dec. 29th, 7:00pm - CBC, Fan 590

Well the good news is the Leafs can still definitely win this game. They just gotta wake up. Let's see if it happens.
I can't see it, not the way the Leafs look tonight and the isles under Trotz. This isn't the loose defensive team of years past. What a pathetic performance

I dunno, Trotz is also like Babcock though in how he defends leads. That means more Komarov than Barzal in the 3rd probably.

I think Simpson and Hughson were talking out of their collective bunghole there about putting in Kaskisuo to try to wake up the team.  Dubas wasted about 10 minutes this morning going out and getting somebody, anybody to fill in behind Sparks.  They know Kaskisuo is not nearly ready top play in the NHL.

If Sparks lets one in early in the 3rd... then maybe. But at 4-0 the Leafs offence still has a chance here. Putting Kaskisuo in says they've given up on the win.

"There's always something to do in Collingwood!"

Sportsnet just full of lies tonight.

Maybe Kaskisuo is one of those guys that plays better in the NHL than the AHL cause the players are way more predictable in the NHL!! Maybe tonight we see the birth of a star!!!!

Ok, fine, I'm just talking crap. This game sucks

If it makes anyone feel better just a reminder that the Oilers traded the Barzal pick for Griffin "career AHLer" Reinhart.

Well, Nick Foligno certainly outed us.  You can file that observation under "Sherlock, No Shit."

Oilers are in a slump, any chance we can fleece Chiarelli for someone good?

I'd like him to give me a team that DOES enjoy defending below the hash marks.

The Leafs are playing like teams that play Switzerland. All frustrated that they aren't just winning without trying. All that being said, Sparks is a terrible goalie.
It's not a good game but I'd like to remind everyone we have the fastest record to 26 wins in franchise history thus far. No reason to get so pissy about individual games if we're still doing well in aggregate.

I only get to watch one game a week...and this is the one I get. I think that gives me a reason to get pissy.

Just because their record is what it is doesn?t mean there aren?t concerns.
F***?n looked good last night utterly pathetic tonight.
Matthews intensity and health concerns me.
Nylander was overpaid and should have sat the season.
Barzal has struggled most of the year go figure.
Dubas f?k?d up getting rid of Curtis M.
Oh well one game time to switch channels have a good night everyone.
Not a shocker to hear from you when they're losing. You won't be happy until they go 82-0.
