Not Hyman's best effort but I give him a pass, he's been there game in and game out.
He wasnt there for 2 goals against last game either. He doesn't get a pass. Nobody does. He hasn't been good lately.

Lately being the last 2 games.  The first 40+ he's been one of our most consistent players.
Doesn't excuse him or anyone else and it's not just the last 2.

Big save Dave there but the Leafs are starting to look flat

They've been looking flat for a month. When's the last time they've dominated and outplayed the opponent for a full 60?
They won 10 out of 11 before this slump, if that's what they do while "flat" I'd like to see them sharp

This looks like a totally different team than the one we watched first half of this season. They've all really lost their mojo. Is it time for a closed door meeting or something? A benching? A scratching? Getting the PP going has to be a major focus. I can't help but feel like giving Matthews the night off is a mistake. He snipes one on the 5 on 3, it might have been a different outcome. These guys are super fragile.

Exactly. Let's keep in mind Willy has been out for a week now and with Matthews out the struggle was real..if Jack was solid tonight and in Montreal the outcomes are probably different. I hope Jack can bounce back here and I think he will.

I don't look at just wins never have. I see how the team plays and all teams go through periods when they don't win or play well. Sure they've been getting the W's but the team is playing nowhere near where they were when they swept the Oilers etc. Not just a 4 or 5 game stretch. Team is back to playing too loose for my liking a la Babcock. The PP still hasn't been figured out and winning the division isn't so certain anymore. I'd like to see them sharp to because if they play like this in the playoffs I'm not so sure how far we go.

Ya Campbell hasn't been great last couple games but the effort against the Habs was brutal from top to bottom.

This is one of the best posts I've ever read on TMLFans. Put this one in the HOF please.

I know we should panic and feast on our brains, but for some perspective, we are still 1st in the division and in a 5-way tie for 2nd in the league; Matthews looks like he's going to win the Richard trophy and Marner has broken the record for the most points by a Maple Leafs player in their 1st five seasons.

But But But, the team that's gone 9-2-2 in their last 13 games just isn't good enough! They need to be tougher! They're weak mentally and physically! This team just isn't he same team as the first half of the season.  :o

While last night was a frustrating game to watch we should also remember that we were missing 3 forwards who could probably form a top line better than what a lot of other teams currently have.

Yeah. Last night is hardly an indication of what the team is capable of when marginally more healthy than they are now.

Maybe it?s just me but I wasn?t all that wowed by Robertson.  I think there is definitely a player there but I think he still hasn?t figured out how to not try and do too much.  I don?t see him ready to knock other guys out of the lineup this year.

Agreed, he would do well to be on a lesser team like Detroit and get a regular spot.
