Kraken vs. Maple Leafs - Feb. 26th, 7:00pm - SNO, TSN 1050

Did Seattle actually touch the puck before Marner roofed it?

They touched it but didn't have possession. I would actually love to see the replay of that because I could have sworn they weren't going to call a penalty on the Matthews trip until Bunting got the puck and scored. That's why everyone was confused on the ice.

Jeannot to TB maybe ... he's a bruiser.

We may have to introduce him to Young Knies.

If knies goes up against actual men in the playoffs he's going to get crushed.

If he really runs 234 lbs I think he can hold his own physically.

The difference between college hockey and the NHL is absolutely massive, both in speed and player strength. It's a huge leap for an inexperienced player in the AHL, let alone college hockey.

That's some scrambly D. You'd like to see a better job of boxing out the crease. Maybe that's where a bigger body would help.

Now I see another page that lists him at 209.  That's quite a difference.

Seattles gets away with like three trips in under a minute.  I'm sure it has nothing to do with the score being 4-1

Nobody is arguing that point. The thing with Knies is he's got a man's body so he's better equipped to handle the physical part of the game. Speed is a different issue and that's why he'll start in the bottom 6 if he gets into the lineup.

I'm arguing the point that he's the answer to Jeanneaut. It's ridiculous, I'm sorry. He's a kid playing college hockey, and not even exceptionally so,  and the idea that he's going to step into the most important 4-7 games in this GM's tenure as some sort of physical force to counter actual, proven nhl power forwards is borderline insane to me.

Jeez.

All I was suggesting is that beefing up the bottom 6 might help.  Jeannot is not some kind of invincible player.

I think they should just give Stanley Cups to all EC playoff teams and declare the season over.
