Leafs 2016/2017 Schedule in 10 game chunks

I guess the thing in the back of my mind, is if they do squeeze into the playoffs, that superior goaltending and some timely scoring could carry us far.  Nice to have dreams going into the new year.

I have to admit I was wrong about Andersen.  The Leafs paid a high price for him but they are getting good value so far.  The goalie is really the most important position and he is playing extremely well.  We will see but 5 years of Andersen could turn out extremely well for the Leafs.  They just need better defense and a proper backup goalie.  Hopefully with some of the bad contracts eventually coming off the books they will finally have some money to spend to address those needs.

The Leafs are in a position now, that quite frankly, I didn't think I'd see in my lifetime: A young team with most of the ingredients to run and seriously compete and with plenty of time to grow and improve. And with quality people behind the bench and in the front office. Exciting times ahead for us Leafs fans. Finally!

Yep for the first time in my 60 years on this planet, I can sincerely say the ship has turned in the right direction and hopefully we don't hit any icebergs. If this continues I may just see another Cup before the bucket list runs dry.

I'm 47 and I think the same thing. I mean the Leafs had a great run in 93/94 but that team wasn't built for long term success. The Quinn years were fun but again that was pre cap where the Leafs could just spend out of their mistakes. This team is actually being built correctly and I'm not crazy to think we could be witness to multiple cup wins soon similar to what Chicago has done. It's about bloody time.

Well Martti Biron said he thought we will be a playoff team. SO lets beat the heck out of DET and see where we go from there.

Although I'd like a Columbus-type streak, I can't see a win in the next game.  Leafs are due for a stinker after all these wins in a row.

Man this schedule sucks.  Leafs are gonna play the Habs on Saturday on a back to back, I was hoping at least BOTH teams would be doing back to backs but no, Habs haven't played since Wednesday night.  Just great.

Schedule maker was definitely not on the Leafs' side this year. Not much by way of down time after the All Star break, and, with a team full of guys who have never experienced the grind of a full NHL season, it could definitely be an adventure.

After this weekend, the Leafs are on their mandatory 5-day break. When they come back, Boston will have played SIX more games than them this season. And they don't get their break until the middle of February.

That's kind of what I'm getting at. The Leafs have already played the 2nd least games in the league, and they're getting their mandatory break next week. That means, they have one of - if not the - most intense schedules for the second half.

The rookies better get their rest and get re-charged over the next week.  They'll be put to the test big time in the 2nd half.

It'll be interesting to see how they respond. The first half of the season was almost like the dress rehearsal. The next few months will show us if they're really ready for showtime.

Games coming thick and fast can work both ways. If you're winning its easy to get the legs going and get up for the next one. Lose a few and it can quickly spiral cos you don't have the time to get away and work on anything that may be going wrong.

Let's hope we get on the winning juggernaut and ride it as far as we can.

Leafs have been playing better on back-to-backs. Habs just added Gallagher to their walking wounded. Having loss twice to the Habs already this year in close matches, the young and improved Leafs won't let this opportunity slip by!

Habs have been resting since Wednesday though. Going to be real tough to beat on a back to back

Wow that last 10 game stretch was nifty! Couldn't be happier that I was light on the win department!

Back and tanned and in with my 1 game late prediction again for the next stretch.

I don't think we'll repeat the dominance of the last ten but I think we'll give a solid 5-3-2 showing, starting with that win against the Sens.

GO LEAFS GO!!!
