Leafs 2019/2020 Schedule in 10 game chunks

I think they can green-light a lot of those remaining games in this chunk Zee. With Tavares and Hyman soon to return hopefully we?ll get back on track.

The good news is, they have seldom been blown out in the loses and still picking up points in most of them.

It's almost as if the Leafs' insanely compacted schedule through most of October was a legitimate excuse for some of their struggles.

Going by the 6 pts every 5 game segment gauge that the coach likes to use:
1. 5 pts | 5 Points per Segment
2. 7 pts | 6 pps
3. 5 pts | 5.66 pps
4. 4 pts | 3 games to go

Edit: I missed a point in segment 3

A B2B with travel coming up. Fortunately Chicago will be playing the previous night on the road as well so it should be a sloppy game for both teams Sunday.

New systems and new personnel all at the same time too. Ceci and Barrie (and Muzzin) are still adjusting to Toronto. And the fanbase expected the same start as last October/November when the Tavares line was shooting like 15+% or whatever (I'm not looking it up).

Road trip coming up for the back half of November so lc9 can remind us how much better the Leafs are without line matching and Matthews can show his new teammates where he dropped trou.

It's just a coincidence that lc9 disappears during winning streaks.

Boston has been one of the only good teams early this season. They just lost 3 in a row to Montreal, Detroit, and Philadelphia.

Leafs
1. 5 pts | 5 Points per Segment
2. 7 pts | 6 pps
3. 5 pts | 5.66 pps
4. 5 pts | 1 game to go

Probably a good thing they're going on the road...avoid the "sky is falling" narrative for a couple of weeks.

Man we're brutal lol.

All we have to do is play some sound hockey. Last night it seemed like they were just blowing coverage and cheating on offense. Freddy has to be a bit better but the rest of the team does too. I find it funny that so many fans right now are going off on Babcock for the Leafs trying to implement a more defensive style even though they let in 5 goals last game lol.

Yes but we only have 3 D men that can play D;  Holl, Muzzin and Dermott.  Reilly, Barrie and Ceci don't take the man, they don't close gaps, they don't angle guys into the boards, when have you seen one of them hit someone (never), they only sweep their sticks at opposing players, many of whom can do better stick work like a mafia hitman with a stiletto.  Unless these 3 make the effort to close gaps and take the man, then it's going to be one long season.  Get Reilly off the PK, PLEASE.
