First chunk this season where they've won 2 straight to start.  Let's go!

Won 4 already in this chonk. You would think this team was hovering in and out of a playoff spot with the way people are reacting. Really hope we have Freddie or Jack back for the Oilers.

Yeah I know.  People hard on the Leafs despite their record because of this "the division is weak, they're supposed to win" narrative.  But you can only play who you play.  So far this season we haven't seen the typical let down games against weaker opponents, at least not consistently.  The team has been far better at being in every game even when they don't have their best stuff.  I think it's encouraging, but we'll see what happens in May.  That's the true measuring stick.

I don't want to be an alarmist or anything but 2 regulation losses matches the worst chunk of the season so far.  So unless they win the next 6 straight, we're on track for the worst of the 4 chunks so far.

Get used to seeing Winnipeg, folks!

For perspective, roughly 40% of next 40% of the season will be vs. Winnipeg.

6 of 9 would go a long way to securing 1st place.

After starting out 0-2 I would honestly be happy with 4-4 over this stretch.  Try and win 2 of 3 against Winnipeg, beat Ottawa and split the two games against Calgary.

I'm getting as red as this chunk
